Good Luck to all students who will be representing their school and Sutherland Zone PSSA at the Sydney East Cross Country Carnival on Thursday 15th June 2023 at Miranda Park. Meet at 8:00 am for roll call and to collect your Sutherland Zone race singlet. Walk the course at 8:30 am.
Students must have their consent form signed by a parent/carer and their Principal, and return it to their school Sports Co-ordinator by Thursday 1st June. These forms will then be forwarded to the Sutherland Zone Cross Country Convener.

Times: School participants arrive by 8:30 a.m.
Students walk the course commencing at 8:50 a.m.
Approximate times only:
Race 1 Girls 8/9 years 2km commences at 9:30 a.m.
Race 2 Boys 8/9 years 2km
Race 3 Girls 10 years 2km
Race 4 Boys 10 years 2km
Race 5 Girls 11 years 3km
Race 6 Boys 11 years 3km
Race 7 Girls 12/13 years 3km
Race 8 Boys 12/13 years 3km approx. 11:50 a.m.
Carnival concludes at 1:00 p.m.
Cost: Each student needs to pay their school the $5.00 entry levy.
Transport: Each school will organise for either return bus or private cars to be used.
Parking: For Safety reasons no cars will be allowed to park inside the park. Street parking only. Do not park in front of the Pre-Schools as these spots are for Pre-school staff only.
What to wear: Each student will wear their school sports uniform/singlet and comfortable running shoes (no spikes or waffle sole shoes to be worn). Hats are optional.
Rules: No parents on the course during races. No running/coaching alongside runners allowed. Any protests must be lodged by the school's Team Manager within 15 min. of race finishing. Runners can only enter 1 race.
The top 6 finishers will be the Sutherland Zone team to compete at SE Cross Country to be held at Miranda Park on Thursday 15 June 8:30 a.m. – 12 noon.
Facilities available: Coffee Van (selling coffee, tea, water & snacks), Zone apparel for sale: Hoodies $50 and Caps $25 (Cash sales only).
COVID 19 Reminders: Please be mindful of social distancing at Coffee Van, Toilets and parent/student areas. Please bring/use hand sanitiser, etc.
