This year the girls finished up with a 5th place at the Sydney East Trials on the 13th of June. They won 2, lost 2 and drew 1 game and improved as a team as the day went on. We had 2 girls Georgia L (Sylvania Heights PS) and Charlize (Kareela) selected in the squad. Special congratulations to Charlize in making the Sydney East Team, who will play at Nelson Bay.

This year the boys had their Sydney East trials on the 19th of June. Credit to everyone for adapting to different positions throughout the day. It was not our day with scoring only coming away with one goal, however not many goals scored against us. There were no students selected in the Sydney East squad though we will have some returning Yr 5's ready to go again next year!

The Sutherland Boys Football team played together at the Sydney East Trials at Kareela on the 20th August. The boys worked well with each other, winning their pool and semi and made it through to the final. In a close game they just missed out on claiming the title, losing 1-0.
